2014 UNCITRAL Asia Pacific Day is celebrated throughout December in Hong Kong, Beijing, and Nagoya.
The United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) was established by the General Assembly on 17 December 1966. In establishing the Commission, the General Assembly recognized that disparities in national laws governing international trade created obstacles to the flow of trade, and it regarded the Commission as the vehicle by which the United Nations could play a more active role in reducing or removing these obstacles. To celebrate this historical resolution, the UNCITRAL Regional Centre for Asia and the Pacific established the UNCITRAL Asia Pacific Day, starting in 2014. This year three prestigious Universities joined the celebrations. For more detailed information, please find attached the programme.
