Secretary-General meets with UN Staff in the Republic of Korea

UN agencies in the Republic of Korea organized the meeting of the UN Secretary-General António Guterres with UN heads and staff in the Republic of Korea on 8 February 2018 in Seoul.

It was the first visit of Mr. Guterres to the Republic of Korea in the capacity of UN Secretary-General. The meeting was attended by nearly 100 staff members from 14 UN offices. The Secretary-General called for the importance of achieving the peaceful denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula, while exchanging views on various topics such as the UN reform and sustainable development.
