Around 50 staff members from the United Nations offices and other international organizations gathered today and celebrated the Lunar New Year together in Songdo, Incheon, the Republic of Korea.
Organized by the East and North-East Asia Office of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP-ENEA), this informal get-together has provided a chance for the UN community in Songdo to reconnect with one another and to discuss further cooperation for the year ahead. Several offices with new leaders and staff coming on board recently were also introduced to others.
Among those present were the Asia and Pacific Training Centre for Information and Communication Technology for Development (APCICT-ESCAP), the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (ISDR), the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL), the United Nations Office for Sustainable Development (UNOSD), the Green Climate Fund (GCF) and the East Asian-Australasian Flyway Partnership.
